My Campus Crushes

Since the Campus Crush series is about college romances I thought I’d share a few of my campus crush stories from my college years.  If you’ve read Romancing the R.A., you know that Noelle and Andy had this look exchange between them during an orientation talk. Well, that look was based on how I met one of my campus crushes. I’m not going to mention names, but I went to see my professor during office hours and while I was waiting outside his office this incredibly hot guy walked up and stood on the other side of the hallway. We exchanged a look that was pure, “Wow, I’m totally attracted to you.” We started talking and ended up dating off and on for the rest of college.

While that was a pretty awesome way to meet someone, I have another story that tops it. For those of you who’ve read Rushing Into Love, you know Ben, the freshman guy who serenades Mindy at a social event she’s hosting. What’s hotter than a guy serenading a girl as a way to introduce himself to her? I’m not sure because this actually happened to me. At a social event my sophomore year, a freshman guy sung “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” to me. How could I turn him down for a date after that? I couldn’t.

As you can see, I’m a big fan of making connections and having those moments that almost seem too romantic to be true. I’m the type who falls hard and fast, and sometimes I think that’s the best way to be—at least for me.
