Goodreads blurb:

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when they must decide which road leads to personal happiness. For Dylan Silver, this is that moment…
For the past twenty-two-years, Dylan has been living in her parents' carefully crafted world, always putting her own dreams on hold to play the role of a dutiful daughter.
So when her best friend coaxes her into a winter getaway to a mountain cabin, she sees it as a chance to forget about the responsibilities waiting for her at home. At least for a little while.
But then her past catches up to her—in the form of sexy snowboarder, Sawyer Carter.
Six years ago, Dylan bid goodbye to the only boy she ever truly loved. Now he's standing right in front of her, bringing up bittersweet memories and igniting suppressed desires as he dares her to be the person she has always wanted to be.
Dylan and Sawyer’s unexpected meeting is a second chance, but will a girl who doesn't believe in fate and taking risks be able to overcome her fears of losing control and finally embrace the life she desperately wants?
Only one thing is certain: after a week in Whistler, Dylan's world will never be the same.

My Review:

Dylan Silver graduated and is heading off to med school in the fall. For a much needed break she goes to a cabin in the mountains with her best friend and brother. The last person she expects to see is Sawyer Carter. Silver has been in love with Sawyer since she first met him when she was 8 years old. They became secret best friends and stood by each other no matter the consequence until six years ago. After not seeing the only man she has ever loved for so long, the new and grown Sawyer is sexier than she could have ever imagine. Light green eyes, long, lean body, full lips, " inky black locks", eyebrow piercing and tattoos; he is the definition of sexy. Did I mention he is a pro snowboarder?!

Sawyer wastes no time to try and win over Silver. After keeping their feelings hidden for so long and pining for each other, they burst the dam and jump in head first. Since Sawyer left Silver has become a shell of the person she once was. She lets her parents run her life completely and is therefore miserable. Sawyer knowing the girl she once was gets on a mission to teach Silver how to let go and live in ways she never thought possible. He challenges her and makes her question if her happiness is worth going against her family.

Silver has been in a fake relationship with Preston. They have had to make face for their parents sake but have come to an agreement that it is only for show when necessary. Preston in supposed to fly in and stay with them for a day but with Sawyer back in the picture, she completely forgets. She comes face to face with both men and finds herself loosing the one person she wanted to keep more than anything.

I love this book so much. Sawyer was such a sexy beast that I want to keep for myself. His love was so passionate. He did everything passionately and with such determination that it was inspiring. I related to Silver to an extent. Living for and through your family and putting your dreams on the back burner is definitely my life. I could go on forever about how great this book was. I love the love Silver and Sawyer shared. Sawyer's personality just dominated the story. LOVE HIM! Seriously guys, go read this NOW! You won't regret. =]

"Then you can be my silver medal. Put your hands around my neck," he says as he tries to lift me up." 17%
